Meet Our Doctor

Dr. Tyler Groce

Optometrist

Dr. Tyler Groce is a native of Yadkin County.  He attended NC State University and graduated with a bachelor's degree in Zoology and a minor in Genetics.  He then attended Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, TN, and graduated with his Doctor of Optometry degree in 2013.  Dr. Groce completed internships in Statesville, NC, and the VA Medical Center in Salem, VA.

Dr. Groce enjoys managing a wide range of medical eye conditions including Glaucoma, Macular Degeneration, Diabetic-related eye disease, and Cataracts.  He especially enjoys helping patients with corneal conditions like Keratoconus and corneal transplants, by fitting them with specialty contact lenses.

Dr. Groce is an active member of the Winston-Salem Optometric Society, the North Carolina Optometric Society, and the American Optometric Association, and is serving as a board member on the North Carolina Optometric Society Public Affairs Committee.

Outside of work, Dr. Groce enjoys being involved at Two Cities Church, coaching his sons in soccer and wrestling, exercising, trying new restaurants, and traveling.
